POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

At the moment, I have only two ideas about postgraduate studies. One of them is to do a diploma in creative writing, to improve my writing and go beyond the journalistic texts they teach us in the degree. The truth is that I don't care who does it, at a distance or in person. But I would like to do it in Chile.

I would also like to learn another language, I am interested in French. For about two months, I try to study this language virtually, and I can learn some things. But unfortunately, then I didn't have much time and I ended up giving up. This course I like to study it a presential way in Chile, or if possible, abroad. I would like to study French, because I think that studying another language helps a lot professionally, and I find it interesting not only to learn another language, but also another culture.

Roberto Bolaño

Roberto Bolaño is a chilean writer and poet. Although he considers himself Latin American, as he lived most of his life in Mexico and Spain, where he passed away in 2003

Along with other writers, he founded Infrarrealism, a literary movement that proposed a new way of exploring language.

He has more than 30 published works. When he was diagnosed with a serious liver disease, he started writing like crazy to leave a legacy.  His most famous works are "Los detectives Salvajes", "Estrella Distante" and his posthumous work "2666".

I admire Roberto Bolaño's works and his diverse way of writing, as his works range from the detective to the realistic, from the epic to the marginal. And I also admire what he stands for. He always knew he wanted to be a writer, and although he didn't get recognition until his death, he never stopped writing. My favorite book is his only book of poems: "Los perros románticos".
